Our First Black and White Film Photos

When we packed our bags for France and Belgium this summer, we included a film camera I found on Etsy. After much advice from a few photographer friends, we set out to try our hand at setting aperture and shutter speed manually and on the move.

We lost one roll along the way to a fluke accident, but in the end we sent nine rolls to Photo Vision Labs out in Portland, Oregon to be processed. We would have been happy with a few decent images. What we got back truly surprised us. Each frame seemed better than the last. Here are a few of our favorites from the black and white rolls.
